I’ll break through

Stuck inside cage
Covered with glass
I try to break through
But it shatters
All around me
Pieces get stuck
In my Achilles heel
I am invincible
But vulnerable
All my emotions
Leak through me
Maybe it's the way it's meant to be
I have to let it go
To go ahead
My journey
To the place
All dread
I need to spread my wings
Fly though the world
Ignore the pain
Get over it
Because I have hope
A hope
And a dream
I'll turn it in a reality

Hello everyone I am Krisha. I am the author of Krisha’s Cozy Corner .Thank you so much Aanya for having me on your blog and participating in my blog tour . I am honoured to be here . So let me tell you a bit about myself.

I am a 12 year old  and I always have been an avid reader and there is nothing more I like then curling up in a cozy corner with a good book. Reading books has been one of my favorite pastimes. After enjoying reading many fantastic book blogs for some time now, I thought that I would finally take the plunge and start a blog of my own and express my honest opinion about the books I read.  To know more about me don’t forget to visit my blog!!

From the wise words of Albus Dumbledore to the practical sayings of Hagrid to the musings of Luna Lovegood, here are the 15 of the most magical quotes that originated in the Potterverse. Here are the 15 most influential life lessons tucked into the pages of the beloved book series.

ā€œIt is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilitiesā€

Book: Chamber of Secrets

Who said it: Albus Dumbledore

Explanation: After Harry emerges from the Chamber of Secrets, he expresses fear over the similarities between himself and Voldemort, telling Dumbledore that the Sorting Hat nearly placed him in Slytherin. However, the headmaster is quick to remind Harry that while he and Voldemort are both powerful wizards, Harry chooses to use his talents for good the true measure of greatness.

HAPPINESS CAN BE FOUND IN THE DARKEST OF TIMES…ONLY IF ONE REMEMBERS TO TURN ON THE LIGHT.

Book: Prisinor of Azkaban

Who said it: Albus Dumbledore

Explanation: We can find a way to be happy in any condition if we remember that we own our happiness. Unfortunately, most of us gave this authority to people and circumstances to make us happy and sad.

The truth.ā€ Dumbledore sighed. ā€œIt is a beautiful and terrible thing, and should therefore be treated with great caution.ā€

BOOK– The Philosopher’s Stone

WHO SAID IT– Albus Dumbledore

EXPLANATION– Dumbledore shares these words with Harry while visiting him in the hospital wing following Harry’s battle with Professor Quirrell. Harry mentions some questions he wants answered about his history and his parents’ deaths, and Dumbledore urges him to treat the truth with reverence and caution. Ultimately, the headmaster decides that there are some answers Harry isn’t ready to hear—at least not yet.

ā€œThings we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expectā€

Movie: Order of the Phoenix

Who said it: Luna Lovegood

Context: OK, so this one is from the Order of the Phoenix movie, not the book, but it’s too good to pass up. When Bellatrix Lestrange kills Harry’s godfather, Sirius Black, during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, Harry is distraught. However, he finds comfort in the words of Luna, who despite having lost her mother at such a young age, maintains this positive outlook on life. This line also seems to foreshadow the Deathly Hallows scene when Harry is able to see and speak to Sirius again by using the resurrection stone.

Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are openā€

Book: Goblet of Fire

Who said it: Albus Dumbledore

Context: Following Voldemort’s return and Cedric Diggory’s death during the final task of the Triwizard Tournament, Dumbledore gathers the students of all three schools that participated in the tournament — Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang — in the Great Hall for an end-of-year speech, imploring them to come together to face the trouble that lies ahead. ā€œLord Voldemort’s gift for spreading discord and enmity is very great,ā€ he says. ā€œWe can fight it only by showing an equally strong bond of friendship and trust.ā€

ā€œWhat’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does.ā€ ā€“The Goblet of Fire

Book: Goblet of Fire

Who said it: Rubeus Hagrid

Context: This Hagrid quote might not seem on the surface to be full of fiery inspiration, but his are words to live by just the same. As Hagrid says of Voldemort’s return, there’s ā€œNo good sittin’ worryin’ abou’ itā€ā€”He Who Must Not Be Named will strike when he strikes, and all the wizarding community can do is try and prepare in the meantime. But catastrophizing—devoting one’s whole life to dreading the worst possible outcome of a situation—will help no one. Hagrid’s pragmatic words are a reminder that fearing the future only harms our present.

I am what I am an’ I’m not ashamedā€

Book: Goblet of Fire

Who said it: Rubeus Hagrid

Context: This full quote reads, ā€œI am what I am, an’ I’m not ashamed. ā€˜Never be ashamed,’ my ol’ dad used ter say, ā€˜there’s some who’ll hold it against you, but they’re not worth botherin’ with,’ā€ and is said by Hagrid to Harry, Ron and Hermione after Rita Skeeter publicly outs the gamekeeper for being a half-giant — an ancestry that carries a stigma in the Potterverse. The insightful advice embodies Rowling’s overarching messa

ā€IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT A MAN’S LIKE, SEE HOW HE TREATS HIS INFERIORS AND NOT HIS EQUALS….ā€

BOOK- HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
WHO SAID IT – SIRIUS BLACK

EXPLANATION – As Sirius, Hermione, Ron and Harry discuss the suspicious behavior of Barty Crouch Junier before they discover he used the polyjuice potion to disguise himself as Mad Eye Moody, Sirius gifts the trio with a nugget of important knowledge about human nature.

ā€NUMBING THE PAIN FOR A WHILE WILL MAKE IT WORSE WHEN YOU FINALLY FEEL IT…..ā€

BOOK– HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
WHO SAID IT – ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

EXPLANATION – After the fatal events of the Triwizard Tournament, Harry is exhausted and traumatized. Dumbledore asks Harry to recap his interactions with Voldemort inside the tournament arena, but Sirius interjects that Harry needs to rest and that the interrogation can continue in the morning. Dumbledore disagrees, and persuades Harry to face his most recent horrific experience head on.

ā€œTO A WELL ORGANISED MIND…..DEATH IS NOTHING BUT THE NEXT GREAT ADVENTUREā€

BOOK– HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE
WHO SAID IT – ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

EXPLANATION –Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel lived for 600 years thanks to the Elixir of Life provided to them by the sorcerer’s stone. But after Voldemort comes dangerously close to stealing the stone and its powers, the couple decide it’s best they finally lay themselves to rest. Dumbledore explains their decision to a very bewildered Harry.

ā€YOU THINK THE DEAD WE LOVED EVER TRULY LEAVE US? …..YOU THINK THAT WE DON’T RECALL THEM MORE CLEARLY THAN EVER IN TIMES OF GREAT TROUBLE??….ā€

BOOK– HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF ASKABAN
WHO SAID IT – ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

EXPLANATION – After Harry mistakes his reflection and patronus for his late father, Harry admits to Dumbledore his embarrassment in thinking he saw his dad. Dumbledore reassures Harry that he shouldn’t be embarrassed, because those we’ve lost live on within us.

ā€˜TIME WILL NOT SLOW DOWN WHEN SOMETHING UNPLEASANT LIES AHEAD….ā€

BOOK– HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
WHO SAID IT – HARRY’S THOUGHTS

ā€ IT DOES NOT DO GOOD TO DWELL ON DREAMS…. AND FORGET TO LIVEā€¦ā€

BOOK– HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE
WHO SAID IT – ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

ā€IT TAKES A GREAT DEAL OF BRAVERY TO STAND UP TO OUR ENEMIES…BUT JUST AS MUCH TO OUR FRIENDSā€¦ā€

BOOK– HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE
WHO SAID IT – ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

EXPLANATION – After awarding Harry, Hermione, and Ron points for their respective courage, logic, and chess-playing skills in battling Voldemort for the sorcerer’s stone, Dumbledore makes recognizes Neville Longbottom for his ability to stand his ground against Harry, Ron, and Hermione when they tried to sneak out of the Gryffindor common room to foil Voldemort’s plan. Neville held true to what he thought was right rather than giving into peer pressure, an act that Dumbledore deems worthy of recognition.

ā€˜DO NOT PITY THE DEAD HARRY, PITY THE LIVING, AND ABOVE ALL THOSE WHO LIVE WITHOUT LOVE….ā€

BOOK– HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS
WHO SAID IT – ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

EXPLANATION – Moments before Harry finally kills Voldemort once and for all, Dumbledore urges him to not hesitate or overthink the prospect of ending another human’s life. Dumbledore’s prediction is that by killing Voldemort, Harry is actually saving countless lives in the process.

Bye!!

Joke time!!

So, I was anxious to hear the joke which Dumbledore was about to tell and to read this letter and it’s response, it’s what I found on Mugglenet.

That one about the troll, the hag, and the leprechaun…

Dear Professor Dumbledore,

Could you please finish the joke you started in Harry’s fourth year, where a troll, a hag, and a leprechaun walk into a bar? I know a plethora of fans (including myself!) really want to hear the end of this joke.

Ashrita

Dear Ashrita,

I’m so glad that you asked this question. Here is the (abridged) joke:

A leprechaun, a troll, and a hag all went into a bar.

ā€œBenny!ā€ said the bartender to the leprechaun, ā€œI warned you three not to come back here after the last time. Took me weeks to clean up after all the mischief you caused.ā€

ā€œOh but it’s Floss’s birthday,ā€ said Benny pointing to the hag. (She smiled and showed off her one good tooth.) ā€œGive us a quick pint and let Troll and me sing to her. Then we’ll be on our way. Cross me heart an’ hope ta die.ā€

The bartender was a soft-hearted (and rather soft-headed) man, and so he did as Benny asked.

No sooner had they finished their drinks when a fight broke out over who should be allowed to give Floss a birthday kiss.

The troll and the leprechaun wrestled like they were caught in Devil’s Snare and broke a remarkable amount of glassware. The bartender tried every spell he knew to stop them, but nothing worked. (Truth to tell, he was not a very good wizard.)

Meanwhile Floss the Hag stood by, grinning and looking quite pleased with the celebration in her honor.

After a lengthy brawl, the troll had the advantage. He towered over the quaking leprechaun, ready to smash an enormous beer barrel over the poor fellow’s head.

ā€œOh for pity’s sake,ā€ said Floss who was also an accomplished witch. ā€œAlohomora!ā€

With a wave her wand, Floss opened the sealed barrel, dumping a lovely, golden brew over the troll, and quite possibly saving the leprechaun’s life.

ā€œFloss!ā€ cried the leprechaun. ā€œLet me thank ye with a wee kiss.ā€ But the hag shook her tangled tresses of hair and refused him.

ā€œYeh see! I’m the one she likes!ā€ shouted Troll. He somersaulted to his lady love and tried to gather her in his great arms. But in a blink of a Cyclops’ eye, the hag disapparated and her companions fled.

Once again, the bartender was left with a dreadful mess to clean up. His wife, who had witnessed the whole affair, heaved a sighed and began to mop up the ale.

ā€œWell, my dear,ā€ she said. ā€œAt least we’ve learned two important lessons.ā€

ā€œWhat’s that?ā€ said her grumpy husband. (He was in no mood for philosophical musing.)

ā€œObviously,ā€ the wise and alarmingly cheerful woman continued, ā€œA Benny saved is a Benny spurned. And a rolling troll gathers no Floss.ā€

—

And now you see why Professor McGonagall stopped me from telling this joke.

In fact, she has heard me tell it twice and has threatened me with several Unforgivable Curses if I ever attempt to tell it again in her presence.

I believe this type of joke — one that can go on for a very long time with an annoyingly small payoff– is called ā€œa shaggy dog storyā€ in Muggle terms. I consider it excellent fun. Especially when I allow myself to sing every verse of the troll and the leprechaun’s birthday songs!

I once knew a very fine leprechaun who excelled at this sort of tale. His record length of time before delivering a faintly amusing punch line was somewhere in the neighborhood of seven years. Unfortunately, he was driven out of Ireland immediately afterward.

I encourage you to tell this joke to your friends and add as many ridiculous and unimportant details as possible.

But do not blame me if they are not your friends when you finish.

Yours in mischief and mirth,
Professor A. Dumbledore

What do you find more hilarious the joke or Professor Dumbledore’s letter?

Stay safe!!

The beauty

Pleasant autumn wind blows
My hair covers my face
The leaves rustle as I walk
Yellow and red cover the ground

I take a moment to breathe in the air
I dance around the trees
Admiring the beauty
The peace and serenity

The World stops for me
I don't wish to loose this moment
But alas, like it autumn came
It will go away
Leaving no trace of it's beauty.......

Back to Earth

I visited heaven
Brown, gorgeous
Soft like a cloud
It melted in my mouth
People say good things don't last long
And they are right.

After a minute
I looked at my stomach
And realized the chocolate was in it
Before I knew
I was back to the Earth
And the chocolate had proved it's worth!

This poem makes absolutely no sense at all if you have never felt eaten a melted chocolate…..
The way it melts in your mouth, ahh, heaven……………..

Also, I am trying to write fiction check out my new story here.

Anyways I found a great new quote today………..

A book a day keeps the stupidity away.
